Donna Anthony

Donna Anthony is a lifelong Alaskan, a fourth-generation member of a proud military and service-oriented family, and a long-time resident of the Mat-Su Valley. Raised with strong values and a deep commitment to service, Donna has spent her entire adult life protecting Alaskans, defending our freedoms, and strengthening our communities.

Following in her grandfather’s footsteps—he was both a Mason and a Shriner—Donna continues her family’s tradition of leadership and civic involvement as a member of the Eastern Star. She is dedicated to preserving the values that have shaped Alaska for generations.

Donna currently serves as Chief of Police for an Alaska police department, leading officers across multiple communities and overseeing day-to-day public safety operations. If selected, Donna will officially retire from law enforcement to serve full time in the Legislature.

A Career Dedicated to Public Safety and Service

Donna brings more than 20 years of law-enforcement experience, retiring from the Palmer Police Department after serving across local, state, and federal jurisdictions. Her extensive background includes:
    •    Major DEA drug-trafficking investigations
    •    Undercover narcotics operations
    •    Work with the Alaska Statewide Drug Task Force
    •    Money-laundering investigations with the IRS SARS Task Force
    •    Counterterrorism and intelligence operations with Homeland Security, Naval Intelligence, and the FBI
    •    Joint operations with ATF and the U.S. Marshals Service
    •    Supervising officers, high-risk operations, and multi-jurisdictional investigations

Donna understands public safety from every angle — patrol, investigations, command, and now executive leadership as a Chief of Police.

Awards, Commendations & Valor Recognition

Donna’s service and bravery have been recognized through numerous awards, including:
    •    Valor Award for Bravery in the line of duty
    •    Multiple commendations for excellence, integrity, and distinguished police work
    •    Community Service Awards for outreach and dedication to Alaska families
    •    Youth-outreach and school-safety recognitions
    •    Local, state, and federal agency commendations for major drug, terrorism, and fugitive operations

Donna is a graduate of the Chief of Police Command School, completed advanced training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), and has served in leadership roles with:
    •    Women Police of Alaska
    •    Alaska Police and Fire Chaplain Board
    •    Mat-Su Borough LEPC
    •    FBI CJIS Tribal Task Force
    •    Founder, Santa Cop & Heroes Program (est. 2007)

Focused on Fixing the Gaps in Alaska’s Public Safety System

Donna has seen firsthand where Alaska’s system fails — and she knows how to fix it. Her priorities include:
    •    Strengthening fentanyl and drug trafficking laws
    •    Increasing penalties for repeat violent offenders
    •    Creating victim-centered justice systems
    •    Supporting rural and tribal policing partnerships
    •    Reducing response times with better staffing and resources
    •    Enhancing first-responder recruitment and retention through a modern hybrid 401(k)-style retirement plan — not the old defined-benefits system that broke our retirement system and is financially unsustainable for Alaska
    •    Fixing broken statutes that allow offenders to cycle repeatedly through the system
    •    Improving coordination between police, mental-health providers, and state agencies
    •    Expanding tools to combat child exploitation and human trafficking
    •    Supporting prosecutors with the resources they need to secure convictions
    •    Ensuring departments have the equipment, training, and support required to keep communities safe

Donna will bring the experience of a police chief, investigator, and statewide trainer directly to the Legislature — where public-safety laws are written.

Donna’s Conservative Priorities

✓ Protecting the Permanent Fund Dividend
The PFD is not a suggestion — it is statute. Donna supports the full statutory dividend because leaders must follow the law, not rewrite it when budgets get tight.

✓ Defending Parental Rights
Parents—not government—should guide their children’s education and well-being.

✓ Supporting School Choice
Donna believes parents should have the right to choose the education that best fits their children — public, charter, private, homeschool, or faith-based.

✓ Boys Do Not Belong in Girls’ Bathrooms
Donna believes biological boys do not belong in girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, or sports — protecting privacy, safety, and fairness for Alaska’s girls.

✓ Strengthening Constitutional Education
Donna supports ensuring Alaska students learn the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights — the foundation of our freedoms.

✓ Supporting Public Safety
With decades of leadership and frontline experience, Donna understands what works — and what must be fixed — to keep Alaska communities safe.

✓ Responsible Resource Development
Donna supports developing Alaska’s coal, oil, gas, and natural resources to strengthen jobs, independence, and economic stability.

✓ Pro-Life • Pro-Family • Pro-Freedom
Donna stands firmly against extreme socialist policies spreading across the Lower 48 and will defend Alaska’s values without compromise.

Why Donna Is Running

House District 26 deserves a representative with real-world experience, proven leadership, and unwavering conservative values. Donna is running to restore trust, accountability, and safety in Alaska.

She will fight to:
    •    Strengthen Alaska’s economy
    •    Protect the statutory PFD
    •    Support public safety & law enforcement
    •    Stand up for working families
    •    Defend parental rights
    •    Expand opportunities for Alaska’s next generation
I am running for House District 26 because Alaska needs strong, dependable, conservative leadership — and I’m ready to fight for our district, our families, and our future.”
